How to Post Highlights on Instagram: A Step-by-Step Guide
In today’s digital age, Instagram has become a popular platform for sharing moments, connecting with friends, and showcasing your interests. One of the features that make Instagram stand out is the ability to post highlights. Highlights allow you to showcase your best moments in a dedicated section on your profile. Whether you want to share your favorite photos, videos, or stories, this guide will walk you through the process of how to post highlights on Instagram.
Step 1: Open the Instagram App
To begin, open the Instagram app on your smartphone. Make sure you are logged in to your account.
Step 2: Access Your Profile
Tap on the profile icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen. This will take you to your profile page.
Step 3: Open the Story Archive
On your profile page, you will see a camera icon at the top right corner. Tap on it to open the camera interface. From there, swipe left to access the Story Archive. This is where all your past stories are stored.
Step 4: Select the Story You Want to Highlight
Scroll through your Story Archive and find the story that you want to highlight. Once you find it, tap on the story to open it.
Step 5: Add to Highlights
In the story interface, you will see a small “Add to Highlights” button at the bottom right corner. Tap on it to add the story to your highlights.
Step 6: Choose a Highlight Cover
After adding the story to highlights, you will be prompted to choose a cover image. Select a photo or video from the story that you think best represents the highlight. You can also take a new photo or video to use as the cover.
Step 7: Customize Your Highlight
Once you have chosen a cover, you can customize your highlight by adding a title and selecting a highlight color. You can also rearrange the order of your highlights by tapping and holding the three dots on the right side of each highlight and dragging it to the desired position.
Step 8: Save and Enjoy
After customizing your highlight, tap on the “Save” button at the bottom right corner. Your highlight will now be visible on your profile under the “Highlights” section. You can share it with your friends or keep it private.
